Event Summary: Cracking the Nut is an annual conference that aims to bring together international development practitioners, donors, bankers, investors, policy makers and other rural and agricultural finance professionals to network and share information. Cracking the Nut 2013 will showcase selected best practices through the following themes: Ensuring Food Safety and Sustainability, Facilitating Traceability and Certification, and Creatively Financing Supply Chains. A workshop on agricultural value chain finance will follow the conference from June 27 to June 28, 2013.
Background on Organizers: AZMJ is a US-based consulting and investment advisory services firm that aims to promote international development and build local capacity. Its services include rural and agricultural finance, value chain finance, value chain strengthening, project management, small and medium-sized enterprise finance and development.
The advisory committee is accepting proposals to be presented at the conference. Proposals should be submitted by email to info[at]azmj.org no later than 5:00 pm EST on March 1, 2013.
