MICROFINANCE EVENT: 25th MFC Annual Conference: Thriving Together; May 24-25, 2023; Budva, Montenegro

This event is organized with the goal of addressing evolving challenges such as climate change, political instability and the “uncertain future of work.” The agenda includes sessions such as: (1) 25th Anniversary Time Travel: Lessons From the Past That Point to Our Priorities in the Next 25 Years; (2) Quo Vadis World? All You Need to Know About the Future of MSMEs [Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises] in the Digital Economy; and (3) Chaos, Chaos Everywhere? The Most Important Impact Investment Trends and Initiatives in 2023.

Background on Organizer: The conference is organized by the Microfinance Centre (MFC), a network of 100 organizations serving approximately 2 million low-income customers in 36 countries in Central Asia and Europe. The goal of the NGO is to “empower people and communities through sustainable social finance.”

Cost: The full fee to attend the event is EUR 1,100 (USD 1,160). Discounts are offered to MFC members, groups of three or more delegates representing the same company, and all who register by the end of March.
