MICROFINANCE EVENT: Cracking the Nut: Leveraging Systems for Improved Food Security; October 14 – 15, 2019; Dakar, Senegal

This ninth iteration of this conference focuses on market-oriented solutions to boosting access to safe food in developing countries. The themes are Reducing Systemic Risks; Improving Nutrition, Health and Access to Clean Water; and Increasing Inclusion in Commercial Markets. Speakers will address topics such as: (1) Applying a Systems Approach to Agricultural Development; and (2) Public, Private and Civil Society Roles in Improving Food Security. Following the conference, the organizers are offering a two-day Agricultural Value Chain Finance & Market Development Training.

Cost: The fee to attend is USD 595 for those registering before April 12 and USD 795 thereafter. There is an additional fee of USD 1,295 to attend the value chain training on October 16 and 17.
