MICROFINANCE EVENT: Sankalp Global Summit; December 11-12, 2018; Mumbai, India

Themed “Agenda 3 Billion – Building Entrepreneurial Ecosystems,” the 10th Sankalp Global Summit is organized around the following sectors: agriculture, clean energy, health & sanitation, financial inclusion, and livelihoods. Background on Organizers:

The Sankalp Forum was launched in 2009 by Intellecap, an India-based unit of the Aavishkaar-Intellecap Group. The Sankalp Forum reports having helped 1,500 entrepreneurs connect with investors to raise funding totaling USD 240 million.

The Aavishkaar-Intellecap Group supports entrepreneurs via equity funds, a venture debt vehicle, microfinance, advisory services and investment banking. The group manages assets totaling USD 650 million and employs 3,500 people in Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Kenya and the United States.

Cost: The fee to attend is USD 217, with a rate of USD 73 offered to entrepreneurs. These rates include a discount of 30 percent that is to be discontinued at an unspecified time.
