MICROFINANCE EVENT: European Microfinance Network (EMN) Annual Conference; June 14-16, 2023; Paris, France

Themed “Economy for the People,” the 20th annual iteration of this event will focus on financial inclusion and social entrepreneurship. The agenda will include topics such as: (1) crisis management for entrepreneurs; (2) the needs of youth, women and migrants looking to become entrepreneurs; (3) the ability of microfinance institutions (MFIs) to support social enterprises; and (4) the role of coaching and mentoring in the success of young enterprises.

Background on Organizer: Headquartered in the city of Brussels, Belgium, EMN is a nonprofit organization that promotes microfinance as a means of countering social and economic exclusion in Europe. As of 2022, the organization reports 90 members operating in 25 countries.

Cost: The standard fee to attend the event is EUR 650 (USD 713), with a rate of EUR 520 (USD 570) offered to EMN members. A 10-percent discount is available for groups of four or more delegates representing the same organization.
