Cost: For registration received by September 15, 2011, the fee is USD 592 (EUR 416 or RUB 16,560), as long as payment is received by September 23, 2011. After that date, the fee is USD 740 (EUR 520 or RUB 20,700). Further discounts are available for groups, NAMMS members and RMC information partners.

Summary of Event:
The National Conference on Microfinance is dedicated to the “development of global priorities for creating an all-inclusive financial system in Russia.” Conference themes include legislation and regulation, financial and technological innovations, transparency and client protection. In addition to plenary and panel sessions, the conference will feature “master classes” and roundtables, as well as an investor fair for funders.

Background on Organizers:
The National Partnership of Microfinance Market Stakeholders (NAMMS) is an association of microfinance stakeholders in Russia that was registered in April 2006. NAMMS was established to unite organizations in an effort to strengthen the domestic microfinance sector by increasing financial access, promoting regulation and a strong legal environment, protecting clients’ rights and supporting technological innovation.

Established in July 2002, the Russian Microfinance Center (RMC) is a trade association that advocates on behalf of the microfinance community. In addition, RMC serves as a resource center for Russia’s microfinance industry and a national forum for its interaction with the government and investors. The goals of RMC are to promote an enabling legal environment for microfinance, to promote national microfinance standards and to offer training and professional consulting services to microfinance institutions (MFIs).
