Summary of Event: The Central American Microfinance Network, in compliance with its objective of “promoting the industry of microfinance and its impact on economic and social development in the Central American Region” is organizing the Forum: “Microinsurance: A New Goal for Microfinance”, with the purpose of contributing to the development of a sustainable microinsurance market in Central America.

Background on Organizer: The Central American Microfinance Network, an NGO established in 2002, promotes institutional strengthening of microfinance networks and their associates. Its objectives are to increase the availability of standardized information on microfinance institution (MFI) performance in the region; to promote investment in MFIs in Central America; and to benchmark the performance of institutions in the region.
