The France-based NGO Just Sustainability Transitions (JuST) Institute is launching a mentoring and training program for financial services providers (FSPs) looking to orient their work toward “climate adaptation and biodiversity conservation.” The program, which is for loan officers and their managers, takes place online over a period of four to six months. Participation can be part of an MFI becoming certified for its “green” focus. Interested parties can learn more in online sessions today in Spanish and on November 22 in French.
Among the JuST Institute’s offerings are: (1) support in product development for investors seeking to boost their funding of climate adaptation and the conservation of biodiversity; and (2) certification of FSPs’ portfolios regarding the extent of their commitments to the same.
The JuST Institute’s Board of Directors includes representatives from the France-based bank BNP Paribas and the Global Environment Facility, whose funding is administered by the World Bank.
