Cost: The registration fee to attend the conference is EUR 890 (USD 1,160) for representatives of nonprofit organizations and government institutions, and EUR 1,160 (USD 1,511) for others. The fees include hotel stay, transportation, meals and other logistical arrangements.

Event Summary: Presentations will focus on small and medium-sized enterprise investing; project financing; sustainable and low-carbon economies; sustainability as a factor in finance strategies; the state of the world after the 2008 financial crisis; environmental change as it relates to sustainable development; and sustainable technologies. Additionally, the city of Karlsruhe will be presenting three awards: Best Innovation in Sustainable Financial Product & Services, Outstanding Sustainable Project Financing and Outstanding Business Sustainability Achievement. Nominee organizations must be members of the Global Sustainable Finance Network (GSFN), a member-based organization that promotes sustainable finance. Background on Organizers: The event is being organized by the Global Sustainable Finance Network, a nonprofit membership organization operating within the Philippines-based World Federation of Development Financing Institutions (WFDFI) that brings together stakeholders engaged in promoting sustainable finance practices worldwide. As of 2013, WFDFI reported having 328 member organizations across 154 countries and territories.
