WASHINGTON, October 8 – After months of research, planning, and collecting feedback from the microfinance industry, ACCION International is introducing The Smart Campaign, formerly known as the Campaign for Client Protection in Microfinance. The Campaign is a global effort to unite microfinance leaders around a common goal: to enhance client protection in all to better serve clients, increase employee satisfaction, and strengthen the microfinance industry overall.
ACCION International will host an international teleconference as a part of campaign launch. The teleconference will take place on Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at 10:00a.m. (Eastern US)
