Cost: The registration fee is EUR 200 (approximately USD 280). For undergraduate students with student registration cards, the fee is EUR 50 (approximately USD 70). The registration fee includes entry for three days, access to conference papers, three lunches, tea and coffee breaks and one evening of drinks.

Summary of Event:  This year’s annual European Research Conference will bring together academics and practitioners from the microfinance sector for three days of presentations and discussions. The conference aims to address controversies and disputes in microfinance research, including questions of institutional sustainability, private sector involvement, governance and women’s empowerment, among others. Through both plenary and parallel sessions, participants will evaluate different research methodologies and forms of analysis.

Background on Organizers:
The Globalisation Studies Groningen (GSG) Program is a research institute housed at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. GSG publishes reports and organizes conferences covering issues of globalization, development and humanitarianism.
