Event Summary: The conference will bring together representatives of MFIs, investors, policy makers and Sharia specialists to discuss and explore issues around the theme “Unlock Islamic microfinance through regulation, product development and effective funding models”. Discussions will focus on developing regulatory frameworks for Islamic microfinance; creating effective funding models; developing innovative Sharia- compliant products; exploring the role of technology; improving client education levels and awareness; exploring Takaful Islamic insurance, agricultural and development projects.
