Catapult: Kickstarter, a two-week programme organized by the Luxembourg House of Financial Technology (LHoFT) Foundation, aims to aid financial technology (fintech) startups with tutorials, networking and mentorship on issues such as creating a business plan, managing risk and growing the business. The organizers will select 10 fintechs to participate in the program, which will run from June 20 to July 1, 2022. On the closing day, the participants will pitch to a panel, and five fintechs may win EUR 50,000 (USD 52,000) each in subsidies from the Luxembourg Ministry of Economy. Preference may be given to solutions that address issues relating to cybersecurity, insurance, regulation and wealth management “using blockchain, [artificial intelligence] AI and big data technologies.” The application period is open until May 25, 2022, at https://www.f6s.com/catapult-kickstarter-2022-summer.
Founded in 2016, LHoFT is a public-private sector initiative aiming to digitize Luxembourg’s financial sector and “connec[t] the domestic and international fintech community.” Of the organization’s 13 primary partners, most are financial services and consulting firms.
