MICROCAPITAL BRIEF: Good Capital Invests $200,000 in Microfinance Services of Root Capital

Good Capital, a US-based firm that manages socially responsible investments, announced a USD 200,000 subordinated loan to Root Capital, a US-based nonprofit social investment fund that was founded in 1999. A press release from Root Capital states that as part of the investment, “Good Capital and Root Capital have developed a multi-year, strategic partnership that will focus on finding creative and innovative marketing strategies to build Root Capital’s brand and increase its capacity for additional growth.”

Neither the terms of the partnership nor the terms of the loan have been released.
