MICROFINANCE EVENT: Skoll World Forum; April 9-12, 2024; Oxford, United Kingdom

This annual gathering focused on using entrepreneurship to effect change around global challenges such as climate change and healthcare will take place both in-person and online. The detailed agenda has not been released, but the 2023 iteration included sessions including: (1) Do Carbon Markets Have a Place in an Equitable Future?; (2) Nurturing Resilient Health and Wellbeing for Change Makers; and (3) Chain Reaction: Localizing Value Chains to Drive Change. The event is put on by the Skoll Foundation, which was founded by Jeff Skoll in 1999 and focuses on supporting social entrepreneurs via a global network. You may apply to attend the event in-person until January 31, 2024. The fees range from USD 1,400 to USD 4,500 plus 20-percent tax, and scholarships are available.
