This event, formerly known as the Inclusive Finance India Summit, is in its 20th year. The organizers expect 1,200 delegates to attend. While the agenda for this year has not been released yet, the 2022 iteration offered sessions such as: (1) Digital Public Infrastructure – Gennext Modeling for Advancing Financial Inclusion; (2) Financial Inclusion Leading to Financial Wellbeing – Expectation Setting and Measurement; (3) and Social Protection: The Role of Female Agents in Last Mile Services and Bridging the Gap.
In partnership with the local affiliate of the UK-based bank HSBC, the organizers will recognize financial services providers for assisting households with lower incomes in six categories: (1) MicroFinance Organization of the Year; (2) Vijayalakshmi Das Award for Small Emerging Microfinance Organizations; (3) Affordable Housing Finance Company of the Year; (4) Breaking Ground in WASH [Water, Sanitation and Hygiene] Financing; (5) Inclusive Enterprise Lending by a Non-banking Finance Company; and (6) Fintech [Financial Technology] for Financial Inclusion.
Background on Organizer: Founded in 2006, Access Development Services collaborates with government agencies, NGOs, financial institutions and community members, to design and implement anti-poverty programs in sectors such as financial inclusion, skills training and agriculture.
Cost: Registration costs INR 14,000 (USD 168) for Indian participants and USD 400 for foreign delegates, less a 30-percent discount available until October 25.
