Event Description: Attendees for this conference will include leaders representing microfinance institutions (MFIs), development banks, commercial banks, governmental organizations, NGOs, and private firms. These representatives will have the opportunity to select sessions to attend and speakers to listen to, as well as network with other representatives. General themes running through the sessions will be “Capacity Building, Energy, Trade, Microfinance and Infrastructures.” Specific topics for this conference will include “Boosting African Economy through Entrepreneurship” and “The role of International Financial Institutions.” Speakers will include:

Description of Organizer: The EMRC is a Belgium-based international non-profit organization comprised of “entrepreneurs, financiers, consultants and officials coming from 100 countries spanned over the world.” It focuses on business networking between developed and developing countries by facilitating such networking through various means. Some of these include business forums, “tailor-made” events, development services (“business matchmaking, facilitation and project follow-up, management training, access to finance, information on technologies, export and domestic markets access, and inter-firm linkages”), and the publication “Dialogues” which serves to inform members about relevant topics and organizations.
