MICROFINANCE EVENT: 8th Annual Symposium of the Nigerian Microfinance Platform; June 20-21, 2023; Lagos, Nigeria

This event is meant to serve as a platform for collaboration and the exchange of knowledge in support of financial inclusion. The agenda includes case studies, research and commentary from representatives of the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management, the UN, regulators and trade groups as well as financial services providers (FSPs) active in eastern, southern and western Africa.

Background on the organiser: The Nigerian Microfinance Platform (NMP) promotes the extension of financial services to more citizens with the goals of “aiding poverty reduction, employment generation, wealth creation, and improving welfare and general standard of living….” The initiative has 31 members, including consultancies, credit bureaux, FSPs and government agencies. NMP established the Microfinance Learning and Development Centre (MLDC) in 2017, and it serves as the secretariat of NMP.

Cost: There is no fee to register for the event.
