The Government of Gambia and ADB, a financial institution funding development ventures since 1964, have announced their initiation of the Entrepreneurship Promotion and Microfinance Development Project. The endeavor will provide business training to 24,000 individuals living in rural Gambian regions and microfinance products to 116,000 new clients including at least 14,345 additional micro-loans. The SDF, created by the UN Development Programme in 1998 and partially financed by the ADB, has been recruited to execute the policies of the Gambian project.
