Caterpillar Inc. has granted $1.2 million to Opportunity International through its Caterpillar Foundation. $750,000 will go towards Opportunity International’s programs in China where an office was opened in 2003. According to the Opportunity International press release, the funding is expected to create around 5,000 new jobs in the city of Hefei in Anhui province over the next three years.
