WASHINGTON and PARIS, June 19 – The proceedings of the Imp-Act Social Performance Task Force (SPTF) meeting are available online on the SPM [Social Performance Management] Network blog. The two-day meeting was held on June 17-18, 2008. The Imp-Act SPM Network connects individuals and organizations who are committed to managing and achieving social performance in microfinance. This is also a space for practitioners to share experiences, common challenges and key lessons learnt around social performance management (SPM).
The meeting will provide updates on social performance management and assessment programs. The first day focused on the social indicators pilot and the response received from 50 MFIs [microfinance institutions] that participated in the pilot. The second day of the meeting focused on social ratings, outreach to social investors, a consumer report on social performance assessment tools and outlined next steps for the task force.
