The Jobs Conference 2019 will gather stakeholders to discuss problems in India’s labour market. The event will cover topics ranging from “inclusion of the LGBT [Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender] community” to the impact of “automation, digitalization, artificial intelligence and robotics.” The event will also include job fairs as well as psychometric and skills enhancement classes for job seekers. The “State of Jobs in India” report, which includes both data and analysis on India’s job market, will be released as well.
Background on Organizer(s): This conference is organized by the local subsidiary of the Grameen Foundation with the support of the Indian government’s Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. Founded in 1997, the Grameen Foundation is a US-based nonprofit organization. It partners with microfinance institutions around the world on efforts to reduce poverty and hunger. As of 2018, the Grameen Foundation reports assets of USD 12.4 million.
Cost: The registration fee is INR 6,000 (USD 85) for general delegates and INR 5,000 (USD 70) for students. Group pricing is also available.
