MICROFINANCE EVENT: FinovateAsia; October 14-16, 2019; Singapore

FinovateAsia is part of a conference series that focuses on financial technology (fintech). The first two days of the event offer keynote addresses and panel discussions on disruptive fintech innovations, such as virtual banks, as well as related changes in business-to-business and business-to-consumer interactions. In particular, the speakers will contextualize these developments in regard to East and Southeast Asia. Selected firms will also offer live demonstrations of fintech products in areas such as artificial intelligence (AI) and cryptocurrency. The third day of the event offers a separate agenda on AI and blockchain technology.

Background on Organizer(s): The Finovate Group, a US-based research firm, began offering events on innovation in the banking and financial technology sectors in 2007. Since then, it has been hosting the Finovate event series annually at various cities around the globe.

Cost: The cost of the primary, two-day event is USD 1,595. The cost to attend both the main event and the October 16 summit is USD 2,590. Registration prior to October 4 enables a discount of USD 100 to USD 300. Additional discounts are offered to groups as well as individual staff of government agencies and startups. Complimentary passes may be available upon request for senior partners at venture capital firms and fintech investors.
