Bangladesh Chief Adviser Dr. Fakhruddin Ahmed Wednesday formally released a commemorative postage stamp along with a first day cover (An envelope with a stamp canceled on its first day of sale) on Professor Muhammad Yunus and Grameen Bank for winning the Nobel Prize October of last year.Professor Yunus, pioneer of microfinance and founder of Grameen bank, will be featured on the commemorative stamp of 10 taka (USD 1 equals about 70 taka) denomination and a first day cover of 6 taka, private news agency UNB reported.
The commemorative stamp and the first day cover are being sold in all main post offices of the country this month. The stamp and inaugural envelope would be available in sub-district post offices too.
