The Asian Development Bank (ADB), with financing from the Japan Fund for Poverty Reduction (JFPR), will grant $900,000 to the Government of the Philippines towards a four-year microfinance-strengthening project. The Government and participating cooperatives will contribute the remaining balance for the $1.12 million project, which will be executed by the National Credit Council, an inter-agency body chaired by the Philippines Department of Finance.
