Brief Description

Catalyst Microfinance Investors (CMI) is a microfinance private equity fund with a term of 10 years. CMI’s final closing of USD 125 million took place in February 2008. As of December 31, 2008, CMI had invested USD 31 million in ASA International, a holding company affiliated with ASA of Bangladesh that owns and operates microfinance institutions in India, the Philippines, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Cambodia, Nigeria and Ghana. Gray Ghost Microfinance Fund is one of CMI’s cornerstone investors.
