The Microfinance Information Exchange (MIX), the microfinance information clearinghouse, recently released the 2009 Eastern Europe and Central Asia Microfinance Analysis and Benchmarking Report. The report examines credit risk, currency risk, funding risk, the market structure and microfinance trends in Eastern Europe and Central Asia, including the Balkans, Central Europe, the Caucasus, and Russia. It was jointly produced by MIX and CGAP (Consultative Group to Assist the Poor), an independent policy and research center housed at the World Bank Group.
