Summary of Event: On November 29, the European Microfinance Platform’s (e-MFP’s) ten Action Groups will meet to build on months of work by holding in-depth discussions and training on their focus topics, such as inclusive green finance, digital innovations, small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) finance and rural finance.
On November 30 and December 1, more than 80 organisations will be represented in over 30 sessions covering front line topics such as low-cost technology for financial services providers, responsible exits, reaching scale in inclusive green finance, rural youth & agriculture finance, investing in Pakistan, social performance management & digital financial services, housing finance for the bottom of the pyramid, climate-smart lending, regulation in Europe & local markets, asset financing & micro-leasing, sustainable financial education, scaling up African microfinance institutions (MFIs), and refugee finance. The plenary sessions will be: “Microfinance for housing” (the topic of this year’s European Microfinance Award), “Women clients does not equal women empowerment: Beyond the numbers” and “Microfinance: positioning ourselves for the next decade.”
We also look forward to learning what organization wins the European Microfinance Award on Microfinance for Housing during the ceremony on November 30!
Cost: The registration cost is EUR 625 (USD 750), with a student rate of EUR 100 (USD 120) available upon request. Corporate members of e-MFP receive one free registration, and individual members may register for EUR 250 (USD 300).
