In this paper the authors wonder how microfinance clients manage their cash. They ask what drives and constrains their behaviour and if there are any underlying patterns to the choices they make. From observations in the field they focus on three anomalies they have found in this behaviour which they consider inconsistent with much “received wisdom.”
