The Microfinance Information Exchange, Inc. (MIX) will participate at the Asia Microfinance Forum 2008, to be held in Hanoi, Viet Nam from August 26 – 29, 2008. The conference, co-sponsored by the Banking with the Poor Network (BWTP) and the Foundation for Development Cooperation (FDC), will focus on Microfinance in the 21st Century: Future Trends and Opportunities.
Blaine Stephens, COO of MIX, will speak on a panel at the closing plenary session, titled “The Future of Microfinance: Assessing the Outlook.” Mr. Stephens and the other panel members will reflect on the sessions of the past four days and to discus the issues they feel most represent the future of microfinance in Asia.
In addition to participating on the panel, MIX will present the MIX Asia 100, an analysis and ranking of the microfinance industry in Asia, recently produced by MIX and the Asian Development Bank.
