Cost: The fee to attend the conference is EUR 360 (USD 463) for European Microfinance Network (EMN) members and EUR 450 (USD 579) for non-members. The fee for the training package available on 7th November is EUR 160 (USD 206) for EMN members and EUR 200 (USD 257) for non-members.
Summary of Event: The theme of the EMN 9th Annual Conference is “Building sustainable Microfinance in Europe.” It will focus on lessons that microfinance providers can learn from peers from organizations throughout Europe. In addition to the conference, on 7th November EMN will organize training courses on how to access sustainable finance and on monitoring the financial performance of a microfinance institution.
Background on the Organizer: The European Microfinance Network is a France-based nongovernmental organization created in April 2003. It supports the development of microfinance organizations through the dissemination of good practices and by encouraging the improvement of regulatory frameworks for microfinance, self-employment and microentreprises at the European Union and member state levels.
