Themed “capital for good,” this event’s program is intended to “bring together industry leaders, professionals, academics, students and alumni to share best practices and engender new ideas surrounding the intersection of business and society.” Sample session topics include: How Effective is Fintech (Financial Technology) in Reducing Inequality?; UBI (Universal Basic Income) as Cash Grants: Do They Work?; ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance Practices): How Effective Is It in Changing Corporate Practices?; and Internships for All: The Future of Youth Employment.

Background on Organizers: This event is organized by the Tamer Center for Social Enterprise at Columbia Business School. Established in 2015, The Tamer Center seeks to facilitate the combination of good management practices with positive societal effects. The Columbia Business School is part of Columbia University, which was founded in 1754 and has 33,000 students and an endowment of USD 10.9 billion as of 2018.

Cost: The cost to attend is USD 50 for students and USD 175 for others.
