Participation and Cost: There is no fee for attendance, but not all applicants will be invited to attend. The organizers will accept leaders of about 300 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in addition to representatives from financial institutions.

Summary of Event: The purpose of the event is to connect approximately 300 “high-growth” African SMEs with financial institutions to “facilitate the mobilization of their funding.” The forum has six main facets: (1) traditional presentations, (2) round table meetings, (3) one-on-one financing meetings, (4) private consultations, (5) mentoring programs, and (6) “Africa SME Champions” Awards.

About the Organizer: The Africa SME Champions Forum is a network of African SMEs that work together to promote their growth. The forum’s sponsors include small and large African businesses, but the event also partners with large organizations from outside of Africa, including the International Finance Corporation and Forbes.
