Cost: Although there is no fee to attend, registration is required. Registration closes on February 8, 2013.

Summary of Event: This event is expected to bring members of US-based WWB together with representatives of banks, microfinance institutions (MFIs), regulatory bodies, support organizations and funders from the Pacific region. The forum will consist of presentations, panel discussions and small group discussions focused on building sustainable microfinance in the region.

Background of Organizer: Women’s World Banking (WWB) is a nonprofit organization based in New York that was founded in 1979 to help women around the world through microfinance. As of 2012, WWB members serve 26 million active clients in 28 countries. As of 2011, WWB reports total assets of USD 30.5 million, an outstanding loan portfolio of USD 7 billion and USD 3.5 billion in deposits.
