MICROFINANCE EVENT: Small Business Banking Network (SBBN), Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) Finance Forum to Host 4th Annual CEO & Senior Leaders Roundtable, May 29 – 30, 2014, Istanbul, Turkey

Event Date: May 29 – 30, 2014

Event Location: Istanbul, Turkey

Cost: The registration fee is USD 3,000 per organization, which includes admission for two people. A fee of USD 2,000 is offered to members of the Small Business Banking Network (SBBN) and clients of the World Bank Group’s International Finance Corporation (IFC). A discount of USD 500 is available through April 1.

Summary of Event: The theme of this conference is “The Future of SME Finance,” and it is intended to bring together financial services professionals from the banking and development arenas to discuss trends and challenges in serving small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Specific topics are to include credit scoring, risk management, capital raising, mobile banking and “green” finance.

Background on Organizer: SBBN is a network of approximately 50 financial institutions that serve SMEs in approximately 25 countries, primarily in emerging economies. Launched in 2010 as an initiative of US-based nonprofit CapitalPlus Exchange, SBBN offers consulting services in addition to networking. SME Finance Forum is managed by the IFC and performs research on small and medium-sized enterprises.
