Cost: The fees to attend for foreign participants are USD 75 for students, USD 100 for academicians and USD 150 for representatives of banks and NGOs. For Indian participants and members of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation, a regional intergovernmental organization based in Bangladesh, the fee is INR 1,500 (USD 22) for students, INR 3,000 (USD 45) for academicians, and INR 5,000 (USD 75) for attendees from banks and NGOs.

Summary of event:

The theme of this event is “the role of financial technology in including micro-enterprises in [the economies of] low and middle income countries.” Breakout sessions will cover financial inclusion, virtual currencies, mobile technologies, crowdfunding and digital credit scoring. The conference is organized by the Department of Economics at Bhagat Phool Singh Mahila Vishwavidyala (BPS Women’s University).
