Cost: The cost for ordinary and associate members of the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) is EUR 1500 (USD 1,980), and the cost for affiliate members is EUR 1800 (USD 2,370). Non-member observers will be charged EUR 2100 (USD 2,770).
Summary of Event: The program will feature four panels: challenges for supervisory authorities; helping “growth” markets meet their potential; responsible investments; and long-term savings and pensions. The responsible investment panel will cover “the right approach in view of ensuring proper access to finance for the socially unprivileged.” There will also be meetings from September 15 through the morning of September 18 that are for members only.
Background on Organizers:
Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF) is the regulator of the financial sector in Luxembourg. It seeks to promote sound business policy and financial stability, supervise financial actors and institutions, and strengthen risk management.
IOSCO is a Spain-based body of securities regulators from approximately approximately 100 countries that was founded in 1983. In 2011, the association reported total revenue of EUR 2.8 million (USD 3.6 million).
