Event Summary: The theme of this conference is “Access to Finance/Promoting Entrepreneurship.” It is divided into the following sections: (1) plenary sessions on “innovative solutions for access to finance in Africa”; (2) parallel sessions focusing on finance in the agriculture, health, trade, energy and infrastructure sectors; (3) “Business-to-Business (B2B) sessions,” in which participants can develop potential business partnerships; and (4) networking events. A pre-conference workshop titled “Entrepreneurship/Presenting – Pitching a Business Plan” will be held the day before the conference.

Background on Organizer: Created in 1992, EMRC is a Belgium-based nonprofit organization that seeks to promote sustainable development in Africa. EMRC members include entrepreneurs, financiers, consultants and government officials from over 100 countries. EMRC uses forums to facilitate business networking among people from developed and developing countries.
