Event Name: “Doing Good and Doing Well” – A Conference on Responsible Business

Event Description: This event provides an opportunity for students, professors and professionals to discuss careers that are both profitable and socially responsible. The topics include microfinance, social entrepreneurship, corporate citizenship, public-private partnerships, renewable energy and socially responsible investing. There will be various speakers, a Career Forum, interactive panels, networking events, and a Venture Seminar to “facilitate the investment process of worthwhile start-up companies.”

Event Organizers: Responsible Business Club at IESE Business School in partnership with Net Impact

Description of Organizers: The Responsible Business Club at the Institute of Higher Business Studies in Navarra Spain is a student group that aims to promote and facilitate “responsible business.” This includes understanding and disseminating the mutual benefits of responsible business, identifying and promoting opportunities for social entrepreneurship, and developing a network to facilitate partnerships in this realm. Net Impact is an international non-profit organization that promotes and facilitates socially and environmentally conscious business. It consists of a network of students, professionals, professors, and companies. For students and professionals, Net Impact offers the opportunity for “like-minded” individuals to make connections that assist with social entrepreneurship.  For professors, Net Impact provides resources for research through current business information. Lastly, companies are able to recruit directly through the network as well as become corporate sponsors for socially and environmentally conscious ventures.
