Summary of Event: This event will assemble representatives of insurance companies, reinsurance companies, government and the agriculture industry to discuss issues relating to the agricultural industry including: the impact of climate change, improving conditions of people living off agriculture, data management methods and solutions in insurance and reinsurance of agricultural risks.
Background on Organizer: Casablanca-based African Centre for Catastrophe Risks seeks to support insurance companies, reinsurance companies and governments in developing insurance products and programs that mitigate risks, particularly from natural disasters and climate change. The center acquires and evaluates risk data as well as promotes awareness of insurance products to the African public.
