MICROFINANCE EVENT: Access Development Services Host Ninth Microfinance India Summit 2012, New Delhi, November 27 – November 28, 2012

Cost: The registration fees are INR 8,800 (USD 169) for Indian nationals and USD 500 for international attendants with a discount available to representatives of certain types of organizations.

Summary of Event: This annual conference brings together policy makers, practitioners, academics and thought leaders for discussions and debates on the Indian microfinance sector. With the underlying theme of “Reconstructing the Sector: Brick by Brick,” the summit will cover such topics as the role of cooperatives in microfinance, the importance of self-help groups (SHG), aligning products and services with the needs of poor people, gold as a saving tool, financial inclusion, human resource practices, governance, microinsurance and financial education.

About the Organizers: Access Development Services is an Indian nonprofit consultant to microfinance institutions (MFIs). It offers capacity building and technical services on topics such as operating structure, portfolio management and financial management. It also works to facilitate funding to 130 member MFIs through the Access Microfinance Alliance (AmFA). It also organizes the annual Microfinance India Summit and Livelihood India Conference. Access Development Services was founded in 2006.
