Summary of Event: This conference will cover how diversification into areas such as insurance has become important for the sustainability of microfinance following ethical crises, increases in regulation and growing commercialization. The conference will include a keynote speech by David Roodman, a senior fellow at the US-based nonprofit Center for Global Development. It will also include lectures on the expansion of micro-services, microfinance and ethics, regulation, and new lending models and methods. Two action panels will discuss how attendees can get involved in microfinance.
