Cost: The price of attending the “Global Network Summit” on September 28 is USD 510 for non-members of the Small Enterprise Education and Promotion (SEEP) Network and USD 395 for members. Attendance of the “Member Day” on September 29 is free for both SEEP non-members and members. The standard registration fee for the annual conference only, from September 30 – October 1, is USD 1,020 for non-members and USD 790 for members. The cost of attending both the Global Network Summit and the annual conference is USD 1,300 and USD 1,008 for non-members and members, respectively.

Event Summary: The theme of the 2015 conference is “Inclusion and Resilience: The Next Challenge.” The discussions will revolve around four topic areas: (1) how financial services and technology can promote resilience; (2) women’s economic empowerment; (3) small-scale producers in agricultural and livestock systems; and (4) “private sector partnership models for enhancing scale and impact.” The conference will also include a “Global Network Summit” on September 28, which is a gathering of regional and national microfinance associations. The “Member Day” on September 29 will provide an opportunity for SEEP Network members to discuss member initiatives in working groups.

Background on Organizers: The SEEP Network is headquartered in Washington, DC, USA, and was founded in 1985. The nonprofit aims to connect microenterprise practitioners from around the world to develop practical guidelines and tools, build capacity, and help set standards to advance the SEEP Network’s mission of sustainable income in every household. As of 2015, the SEEP Network has 143 institutional members that operate in 170  countries.
