Cost: The “Member Day” on September 22 is free for both SEEP members and non-members. The standard registration fee for conference events on September 23 – 24 is USD 950 until August 1 and USD 1,020 thereafter. For SEEP members, the cost is USD 710 until August 1 and USD 790 thereafter. The Global Network Summit on September 25 costs USD 510 for non-members and USD 395 for members, with discounts available for those registering for both the conference and summit.

Summary of Event: The theme of the 2014 conference is “Scaling Impact in Inclusive Market Systems.” The discussions will revolve around four topic areas: (1) how technology can support “pro-poor” markets and financial systems; (2) how to facilitate the delivery of basic services such as energy, water, sanitation and health care in low-income areas; (3) the dynamics of “push and pull” strategies to promote sustainable development; and (4) “research and evidence for scaling up inclusive solutions.” The conference will also include a “Global Network Summit” on September 25, which is a gathering of regional and national microfinance associations.

Background on Organization: SEEP Network is headquartered in Washington, DC, USA, and was founded in 1985. The nonprofit aims to connect microenterprise practitioners from around the world to develop practical guidelines and tools, build capacity, and help set standards to advance SEEP’s mission of sustainable income in every household. As of 2013, SEEP has 128 institutional members that operate in 170 countries.
