Event Summary: This two-day event aims to bring together senior bankers to identify challenges and outline opportunities for financial institutions to provide sustainable outreach to women entrepreneurs throughout Africa. The conference will explore concepts relating to business operations, management style, growth capacity and the risk behavior of women-run enterprises. The event will specifically cover the following topics: (1) Women: The Emerging Market of the Emerging Market; (2) Entrepreneurial and Financiers Panel: What Business Women Need and How to Deliver It; (3) Building an Inclusive Small Enterprise Financing Business Line; and (4) Sustainable Systems: Non-Financial Components for Successful Entrepreneurs.

Background on Organizers: SBBN is a global network of 45 financial institutions that serve small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). SBBN was launched in 2010 as an initiative of the US-based CapitalPlus Exchange, a nonprofit organization that provides technical assistance and capacity building to financial institutions, small business and microfinance markets.
