MICROCAPITAL BRIEF: Sa-Dhan, a Microfinance Network in India, Launches Microfinance and Financial Inclusion Magazine “Micro Matters”

Sa-Dhan, a microfinance network in India with total member assets of INR 117 billion (the equivalent of USD 2.6 billion) as of March 2010, has launched a microfinance and financial inclusion magazine entitled “Micro Matters.” The magazine has four sections: Initiatives, Impact, Micro-view and Snippets. Sa-Dhan’s 223 member institutions report to reach 22 million clients and to be present across 21 states in India. About Sa-Dhan:

Founded in 1999, Sa-Dhan is an Indian association of financial institutions that aims to build the field of community development finance in India. It aims to help its 223 member institutions serve low-income households in both rural and urban India. Sa-Dhan’s member institutions report a total outstanding loan portfolio of INR 117 billion (the equivalent of USD 2.6 billion) and a client base of 23 million customers as of 2010.
