SIF offers loans ranging in size from TZS 100 million (USD 60,300) to TZS 1 billion (USD 603,000), which are paired with consultation services on improving business practices. Since its quiet launch in July 2013, SIF has provided EUR 1.4 million (USD 1.9 million) in loans to 15 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Tanzanian entrepreneur Dr Reginald Mengi, the guest of honor at SIF’s launch event, emphasized the importance of domestic investment, stating, “I call upon Tanzanian investors to approach the fund management and join in this initiative of ‘Impact Financing’ in Tanzania” [1].
