The MCM newsletter recently announced two microfinance investments involving the microfinance investment fund Global Commercial Microfinance Consortium (GCMC). The first deal was a disbursement of a USD 2.25 million to Pilipino microfinance institution (MFI) Taytay Sa Kauswagan, Inc. (TSKI). The loan came from Deutsche Bank Philippines and was based on a guarantee from GCMC. The second investment was a USD 1 million loan directly from GCMC paid to PRASAC, an MFI in Cambodia.
